The Path Is Made By Walking

A Visual Love Letter to Mexico

So much of being a creative is just trying to make things that capture how we see and feel life. Sometimes, so others can see and feel it too. Sometimes, so we can just savor the moment a little longer. Sometimes, the creating is just an impulse. Which is the case most often for me. Usually my favorite images are ones I took on intuition alone, the ones where I’m not even aware of why I’m taking the photos, until I look back at them later and the common thread become clear. The why was always there and the subconscious intuitive self is always aware even if the conscious mind isn’t ready to see it yet.

When reviewing my entire body of work from 2025, it became clear that this year was a visual love letter to Mexico.
Some images feel obviously beautiful and some require a deeper awareness of the human experience. While sorting through the work and feelings that came with them, I kept coming back to the same thought: There is something magic in the essence of Mexico. Something that brings you down to earth and allows you to have the human experience in its most effortless and thoughtful form. A place that feels like touching grass. A culture so deeply rooted in tactile experiences and community that you can’t help but feel both bolted to the earth and also floating on cloud nine. A place where “mi casa es tu casa” is not only a saying but an actual way of life.

If Mexico has taught me anything it’s that the path is made by walking. I hope my photos can convey even a fraction of the life giving openness of this culture and the people who call it home.
